First Aid at Work – Requalification (REQ)

This course is designed to give students with a previous First Aid at Work Qualification the opportunity to revalidate their qualification, without having to resit a full 3-day course. It updates delegate’s knowledge and informs of any changes or new policies and procedures regarding First Aid.

• Primary survey
• Secondary assessment
• Breathing and circulation
• Principles of resuscitation
• Disorders or respiration
• Disorders of consciousness
• Foreign objects
• Burns and scolds
• Bones, joints and muscle injuries
• Poisoning
• Incident training

Assessment

• Ongoing assessment by the instructor of candidates practical skills
• Successful completion of two multiple choice question papers.
