Self Harm Emergencies (SHE)

This course prepares individuals on how to correctly navigate and support situations in which, an unresponsive or responsive casualty is located in self-harms incidents.

From ligatures, overdoses and chemical consumptions this course provides learners with the knowledge and understanding to be the first person on scene at a self-harm incident.

  • Casualty assessment.
  • Managing an unresponsive casualty.
  • Risk assessments.

  • Poisons and Overdoses.
  • Management of bleeding.
  • Incident reporting.

  • Ongoing Assessment by the instructor of candidates practical skills.
  • MCQ Theory-based assessment.
