Practical Fire Extinguisher Training
This course gives candidates the knowledge and skill to be able to not only handle a fire extinguisher, but know which type to use.

This course is ideal for all personnel to give an insight into the correct procedures for operating an extinguisher to combat a small fire. In an emergency, anybody who is close to a small fire may be required to extinguish it to prevent further damages, so it makes sense to have full competency within a workforce to ensure this is possible.
Aspects of the Course:
- Class A fires – Using water extinguishers.
- Class B fires – Using foam extinguisher.
- Fire involving electricity and electrical devices – Using carbon dioxide extinguishers.
- Class F fires – Using fire blankets.
- Electrical component fires – simulation of how an electrical component may react.
Assesments:
Assessment is made during the course of the training.
Sucessful candidates will be awarded a certificate to show that they have passed the course.
This course is non-accredited.
