Paediatric First Aid (PFA)

This course will be of particular interest to teachers, childminders, creche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare.

Course Details:

This course is RQF and Ofqual regulated.

This two-day course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It focuses on aspects to be more relevant to children and infants and informs delegates of the common medical issues to be aware of when dealing with children.

  • Croup
  • Seizures

Assesments:

The practical Learning Outcomes are assessed by observation.

  • MultiChoice Questions (MCQ) for theory and underpinning knowledge.
  • The Practical demonstration of skills.

To be awarded this qualification the Learner must 100% pass of the assessments carried out by observation together with a percentage pass in the MCQ paper.
